Flats Nation Edition Console Caddy: Clever Gear Meets Classic Sensibility.
As highlighted in our Welcome Aboard article on our collaboration with Ruckus Marine, which you can access by clicking here. The Flats Nation version of the Console Caddy is now in stock and turned out awesome if we say so ourselves!
Let's get old-school straight out of the gate: a well-crafted piece of gear shouldn’t just serve a function—it should feel right. The Flats Nation Edition Console Caddy from Ruckus Marine absolutely nails that ethos. It’s the kind of well-made product that would earn a nod from your grandfather’s seasoned hands, even as you chuckle at how far boat organization has come.
Made for the Way You Fish—and Everything Else:
Designed with purpose and style, this is far from a kitchen-sink approach. You're acquiring a sleek organizer that securely attaches to the back of your console door or any horizontal bulkhead, such as inside one of your hatches. It integrates seamlessly with your Skiff or Bay Boat, as if it was always intended to be there—where necessity meets innovation.
Form That Actually Follows Function:
Spacious main compartment: Stashes your wallet, keys, remote, maybe even the flask your granddad insisted was "only for the good stuff." 😉
Smart phone slot:
Keeps your device secure and ready, with a bottom cable pass-through so it stays charged—
Because there’s no place for a dead phone battery so you can grab a few close up pictures when you're hunting tailing redfish.
Or a spot to stash a few special cigars for celebrating that fantastic day you just had on the water!
Built-in drainage:
Florida’s notorious summer rains or a wave over the transom? No sweat. Let it drain, dry, and still look sharp.
Feather-light durability:
A single-piece construction that weighs just 5 oz—light yet tough enough to last.
Clean Aesthetics, No-Nonsense Utility:
The design is minimal and purposeful—no frills, just good, solid results. It's a modest addition with big-time impact: eliminating some clutter, helping prevent dropped/lost items, and adding that crisp, organized feel your Skiff or Boat deserves with the minimal space you now have!
Why It’s a Smart Buy:
Classic sensibility with modern finesse...
The product isn’t over-designed— It blends the simplicity of craftsmanship with today’s need for tech-forward organization and utility.
Made in the USA, by design-oriented thinkers.
Ruckus Marine keeps things local—rooted in the shallow-water skiff culture that shaped their core innovation, including the Console Caddy!
Built for the die-hard angler crowd.

"I do not have a USB charger inside my console or other location?"
No problem! Here is one that is surface mounted (easy to install), that you can power direct from the battery, or (recommended) tie into another/open 12 VDC power source from the fuse panel:
What we liked about this one as compared to others we researched:
This surface-mounted (or embedded) 12VDC outlet charger is designed for easy installation, requiring only small pilot holes for mounting. Any maybe pending on location, another backside small center hole to pull the power wiring through. This, unlike most long-body (cigar lighter) style plugs on the market, there's no need to drill a large hole to mount. We recommend using Marine grade Stainless Steel screws for mounting since we are not fans of rust stains either!
Ultra-fast 4-Port Version: This 12VDC USB outlet has 4 USB ports, 2 PD 30W + 2 QC 18W, to charge up to four devices at once with up to 78W of output power. Compatible with PD2.0, QC2.0/1.0 and all other protocols to provide the fastest possible charging speeds for all your devices. Which in that case, you may want to order two Console Caddies to secure both phones into your console or other locations.
Individual Non-slip Switch: This 12-volt USB power outlet features a non-slip push-button switch that turns power on or off at any time. This helps prevents battery drain and extend battery life. It also controls the blue indicator light on/off. (Note: When the power is on, press the button to activate it; when the power is off, it automatically resets to the off state for safety reasons).
Safety Charging: The 12-volt USB socket is made of nylon shell, scratch-resistant and wear-resistant, it also comes with a flip-top waterproof cover, which can be easily operated with one hand, effectively protecting the 12v USB C sockets from sudden splashes of water and dust. Built-in smart Integrated circuit chip, protects your devices from over-voltage, overheating, overload or short circuit.
Just click here to review and order one or two charger ports, pending on your charging needs!

"I can't see inside the Console or that space very well in low light conditions?"
We have idea with employing smaller LED lights! These do not need any power wired (self contained) simple to install, and works on motion so you don't even have to find a switch in the dark for it turn it on at the same time:
What we liked about this one as compared to others we researched:
Outdoor rated making it superior to many others, this Sensor LED light activates as you approach and automatically turns off once you exit its sensing range. It's versatile, extending beyond just your console to various locations like drier areas inside storage spaces that lack factory-installed lighting. However, it is not recommended for Bait/Livewell installations; it's water-resistant, not waterproof...
Battery powered (3 AAA not included). Consider getting some quality batteries and applying a little electrical contact spray like Corrosion X HD to help extend their life. After installing the batteries for the first time, wait a few seconds to activate the sensor. Also consider using a Velcro type of installation for effortless removal when replacing batteries.
Has a nice lens titling feature so you can better direct the light up or down as needed for your use case.
If your light ever starts acting up (it is a Marine Environment, after all), just grab a new one for low cost and switch it out in short order. That's why we like using a Velcro strip type of install method...
Hope this helps and do let us know how and where you installed yours, and if you also used any of our accessorize/upgrade ideas? We would enjoy seeing your installs!
