Not long ago, we covered a product designed for Hell's Bay Skiffs seen below called the Console Caddy and covered its features and benefits and you can review that article "Maximum utilization of minimal space" by clicking here:

Not long afterwards Jake, the design guru and owner for those products reached out to us here on Flats Nation thanking us for our coverage, and we discussed some of the design concepts and ideas we mentioned and some we did not, in the article. One was how to give it larger appeal to a wider range of skiffs and bay boats that may not have the lock cylinder feature much less even need one!

After a few design sessions and brainstorming sessions with us, we on Flats Nation are happy to unveil the latest addition to the very forward thinking Ruckus Marine product lineup: the brand-new Ruckus Marine Console Caddy!

Ruckus Marine Console Caddy

This versatile caddy can be mounted just about anywhere you have a vertical surface, whether or not there's a lock on your door or hatch. Get ready to elevate your marine experience while having a secure place to store your keys, phone, remotes, etc. when running and bouncing around to your next spot!

Plus, since my Skiff (like many others) is about as grey as sugar, we thought, "Why not offer them in white too?" This way, they can blend in better with a whole spectrum of Skiffs and Bay Boats!

  • Thoroughly American – Made of PETG in the Florida, USA!

    Made in Florida message
  • PETG, or polyethylene terephthalate glycol, is a thermoplastic polyester known for its strength, durability, and flexibility. It is commonly used in manufacturing applications, including 3D printing, food containers, and medical products due to its high impact resistance and recyclability. Our PETG has UV inhibitors in the material for longer life.

  • Clean, pragmatic design – No fluff, no gimmicks—just purpose-built for the intended use of securing your loose items when on the boat so, you can keep your pockets free YET still find them handy at the end of the day!

  • Large compartment for essential items like wallets, keys, remotes, etc.

  • Slotted phone compartment keeps phone accessible and plugged in IF you have a charge port near the location of the Caddy.

  • Built in drains - Just rinse it off with the rest of the console door or hatch mount and it will drain and dry.

  • Deck-friendly ease – This hard-shell caddy effortlessly mounts to any flat console or vertical surface. Installations as easy as short drilling three (3) pilot holes which are countersunk and just secure with the three included Stain Steel number 8 screws.

  • Lightweight - For those guys and gals that are looking to get as skinny as possible in their purpose designed and built TPS (Technical Poling Skiffs) or even paddle craft and or cooler applications. The material is lightweight yet strong unlike some products of this nature that are made with heavier Starboard/HDPE types of materials. The Console Caddy comes in at just 5 ounces!

Why it works!

  • Minimalist aesthetic: With clean lines and a matte finish, this design integrates effortlessly into virtually any cockpit setup. The "Console Caddy" measures just 6.75 inches in width and 2.0 inches in depth, ensuring it occupies minimal space in any console, bulkhead, or hatch type of placement.

On the water benefit!

  • Gone are the days of lost phone hunts behind the seat or tool dives in unsightly cluttered bins. With the Console Caddy, everything is at arm’s reach—neatly organized, easy to access, and confidently stowed. It feels less like an accessory and more like part of the captain’s workstation.

Refined, Not Flimsy!

  • Think of it as a captain’s cockpit shelf—clean, sturdy, and easy to access. No more dropping essentials behind the helm or rooting through clutter or other loose gear. It's minimal, purposeful, and built to be a seamless extension of your setup!
