We here on Flats Nation are big fans of this young man (of 9 years) with his talent and passion for his artwork!
How many 9-year-olds do you know have their own art business and coloring book? We need to get him booked for an episode of Shark Tank soon!
And as I spoke to Trent on the phone I stated, "I sure wished I had that level of talent at your age much less now, for I cannot even draw stick people!" One thing is for sure: Without a PC (which was nowhere to be found at that same age for me), Flats Nation would not even be here!
What is even more remarkable is that he has won awards for his work (again at age 9), which we feel is mind-blowing! This excellent Snook below, our favorite, won first place for Florida in the 2022 Fish Art Contest sponsored by FWC, Bass Pro, and Wildlife Forever.
Now, we made a special request of Trent for some more Flats Fishing related species that we could feature here, and (so far) he told me that the Tarpon is his "Arch Nemesis" and has pitched away quite a few examples already. I think I will go dig through his garbage can and save them for future sales, and (might) be like finding a lost Rembrandt or Van Gogh and selling them for millions later. 😁

We are looking forward to more of his work that we can share with everyone here, and see if we can get him on an audio magazine article (podcast) in the future. And we permit him to unleash the "Trent Effect" on the Flats Nation Flag if he ever gets bored! That should look cool, but we do not want to cut into his homework time naturally!
