For those OCD types like Myself and Captain Tommy Derringer who at times use all-day Detailing Sessions along with the correct music playing, to help us decompress (more like hide) from "Them" or whomever "Them" maybe for you? Since it seems that cleaning anything, is like raising the shields on the Enterprise and you will not see "Them" all day long! 😊
Plus many of us have had to deal with three major Hurricanes in recent years, so deep cleaning and CAT 5 level protection is (now) the standard.
Spradling International Marine who makes the seat cover material for several of the OEM Skiff and Boat builders like Maverick Boat Group and is designed to help take the beatings that Sun and Saltwater can dish out.

An informative guide has been published on Upholstery Care Tips, detailing with some recommended products and methods for maintaining vinyl-coated seats in pristine condition for an extended period. The resource aims to assist in preserving the aesthetic appeal and longevity of these seats, ensuring they maintain a showroom-worthy appearance over time.

Here is that guide to help you at a glance, clean and help maintain those awesome-looking seat cushions!

If you would like to download your copy to have/print out for personal reference you can from this link:
They also have a nice resource section on their Site with a list of approved cleaners and other good information located Here
Another good cleaner we have been testing is VIP from Malco Marine (former Presta Marine) that has worked well for clean up. Make sure you take the time to read the directions for best use practices, results, and ROI (Return on Investment) for you. Many times (guilty as charged) we get into a rush and then spend even more time and waste product when not needed, simply by not taking the time to read such!
Hope this helps, we have reached to Malco Marine see if we can secure more information on their product lineup. This for those in the process of cleaning, changing out or updating the interiors on their Project craft (like when is any Skiff not an ongoing project from day one?) to help you. This and looking forward to having them join us on Flats Nation soon.
We are (also) actively exploring innovative materials and designs to enhance the visual appeal of your Skiff and Boat with a distinctive color palette and unique patterns. We are working with another company to find alternatives to traditional EVA foams, which, while comfortable, can be difficult to clean and even more difficult to replace after a few years of wear... Our interest is in testing the potential of using woven vinyl flooring as an alternative to other decking materials, provided that it can endure the conditions of the inshore environment without posing maintenance challenges in the future, more on that soon!

Both products though sound like another great Flats Nation Audio Article (Podcast) in the works already 😊
Plus, you can find other cleanup and maintenance articles and tips in this section of The Nation simply by going clicking and going here:
In the meantime,
We invite you to take in a few Flats Nation Podcast Episodes to help "Scratch that Fishing Itch" when working or traveling and you cannot hitch up the Skiff and go by clicking Here:
Also, The "Flats Nation" Merch and Swag collection, if you like our content, has some new works, from T-shirts to our newer Technical wear (aka wearable shade) which can be found Here:
