We are excited to have Captain Antonio Flecha join our team here at Flats Nation. Flecha is a Certified IGFA Captain/Guide and an accomplished Fly Tier and Flats Fisherman with an extensive background in Fly Fishing in Puerto Rico and Culebra.
He is the Owner of Culebra Fly Fishing Charter, which was started in 1991 by Captain Chris Goldmark. After 31 years as a guide, he had great fishing experiences with clients and was grateful for all those memorable years on the water. He decided to retire and pass his legacy on to Captain Antonio Flecha, who has over 25 years of fishing experience.
In addition to Bonefish and Tarpon Fishing, he has years of experience in Permit fishing on the fly.
As well as being the President of T-Fly Gear, which we are looking very forward to working with (more soon) as an online tackle supplier for Fly Tackle and related gear on The Nation!
T-Fly Shop was founded in Puerto Rico by Captain Antonio Flecha and Emil Flecha in 2014. They have been in the sport fishing environment for over 25 years now and understand what it takes gear-wise to get you ready for your next adventure, whether in Puerto Rico or the rest of the Caribbean and nearby waters!
Talk about an excellent place and body of water to fish! Culebra Island is a short distance away, and the ferry runs from the main island of Puerto Rico.
And with my many discussions with Antonio, the picture he paints of Culebra is just beautiful! With its substantial amounts of pristine clear waters and grass flats full of our favorite targets, including Bonefish, Permit, and...

I cannot wait to visit and spend time with him on and off the water, writing articles and grabbing more media and content for our joint efforts here on The Nation. Brother Antonio advised me he already has a fly reel set up for the lefty here, so leave mine at home! 👍
And unlike other (even more expensive) Flats Fishing destinations in The Bahamas, Mexico, etc. If you are a US citizen no passport is needed, and you can jump a bird and go fishing with Antonio yourself and spread some love! 😁
