I had the pleasure of meeting Flip years ago and thoroughly enjoyed my conversation with him. His calm, collected voice carried a wealth of knowledge for which he was well-known.

And, Flip wasn't just famous for his fishing skills and conservation efforts!

One of his standout projects off the water, was his role as a narrator. When ESPN and the SEC (Southeastern Conference) celebrated a milestone birthday a few years ago, Flip lent his voice to the captivating series “Saturdays in the South: A History of SEC Football” Here's a quick sample for you to enjoy:

Now, to really experience the story of Hell's Bay Skiffs as only Flip could tell it, is to watch the video "Uncharted - History of Hell's Bay Boatworks." Whether you haven't seen it yet, or simply need a break from work stress while under the harsh fluorescent lights of your cubicle, this one is your near perfect escape...

RIP, Flip — say hi to Jose and Lefty for us. May we all see you on the other side of the Flats someday...
