Informed us about a boat parade on Veterans Day that you might enjoy and want to participate in!
The Waves of Freedom – Veteran’s Day Celebration is for Veterans and their families and are invited to sign up to participate in the day’s events as honored guests—enjoying a patriotic ceremony, a river cruise aboard MarineMax vessels, and a barbecue lunch with live entertainment!
The public is welcome to join the parade on the water by decorating their own boats and taking part in the flotilla on the Caloosahatchee River.
Event Timeline:
9:00 AM – 10:00 AM | Boat staging & arrival
10:00 AM – 10:30 AM | Opening Ceremony at Deep Lagoon Harbor
10:30 AM – 12:30 PM | Veteran Flotilla on the Caloosahatchee
12:30 PM – 2:00 PM | Barbecue Lunch & Live Music
This free, family-friendly event is open to the community. Whether you’re signing up as a veteran participant or joining the flotilla in your own boat, all are welcome to come together to honor those who served. Click here if you would like some more information and to sign up!
